From Noise to Neat: Peace for Outdoor Living.
When pool equipment sits directly behind an alfresco area, it can quickly turn entertaining into a challenge. That was exactly the case for a recent installation in Deakin, ACT, where noise reduction was essential to make the outdoor space enjoyable.
The solution came in the form of a Deep Backless B201013 in Monument, installed at 1345mm height so the enclosure stayed hidden neatly behind the alfresco wall. Choosing Monument also meant the Acoustic Box blended perfectly with the home’s accent colours, creating a finish that felt considered rather than concealed.
Because the equipment was positioned so close to the back wall, a backless configuration was required. This gave the flexibility to manage the tight space while still ensuring full coverage of the equipment. To make everything fit neatly, cut-outs were created in the rear panels to accommodate gear mounted directly on and around the wall, while additional cut-outs were added on the side of the box to allow for pool heater pipework.
The Galvabond steel panels are designed to be adaptable in this way, with the option to core drill openings for pipework, cabling, or other services. For longevity, we recommend applying a silicone sealant to the core-drilled edges to help reduce the likelihood of rust developing over time. It’s a simple step that ensures the enclosure continues to perform and look good for years to come.
Smart Pairing for a Standout Install in South Australia
A recent filtration installation by Beasley Pool Heating in South Australia demonstrates how the right combination of equipment and enclosure can deliver both performance and presentation.
In this case, the premium Guardian GLV 24kW heat pump was paired with the Freestanding 221111 in Night Sky Black. Given the enclosure was in a highly visible area of the back garden, the 1145mm height option (one of four standard heights available) was chosen as it lined up closest to the top of the heat pump. The equipment was set off from the boundary fence and given it’s high visibility in the back garden, a freestanding option with dual 1100mm wide compartments was the ideal option.
