Even a relatively straightforward pool equipment enclosure can require a customised detail when the surrounding landscaping limits access.
For this installation, a single 1650mm-wide Free Standing Acoustic Box was required to cover pool equipment positioned at ground level. The single compartment 160609 model fit neatly into the space, but there was one important challenge: a raised deck sat immediately in front of the enclosure.
Because both the pool equipment and The Acoustic Box were positioned at ground level, the base of a standard full-height door would have sat below the height of the deck. There was no opportunity for side access either due to the glass pool fencing and heat pump location.
The solution was a custom door panel manufactured to finish at the same height as the deck.
By shortening the door, it could open above the deck without obstruction while still providing practical access to the pool equipment inside. The lower section of the enclosure remained fixed below deck height, allowing the full Acoustic Box to stay at ground level and neatly accommodate the equipment.
Can an Acoustic Box Door Be Customised?
Yes. Where surrounding structures prevent a standard door from operating correctly, The Acoustic Box team can assess the site requirements and develop a customised panel configuration.
Depending on the installation, this may include altering the height or position of a door so it clears nearby decking, paving, retaining walls or other obstacles or adding on a side access panel.
Because The Acoustic Box is made in Sydney, our team can work with you directly to develop practical solutions for non-standard installations.
